About Greene County Criminal History

Greene County criminal records are split among the Sheriff in Coxsackie, County and local justice courts, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), state corrections, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. This private reference site organizes the official portals, office contacts, and request routes that serve Catskill and the rest of Greene County.

Why We Built This Site

New York does not keep every record in one public system. The Greene County Sheriff controls its incident, booking, and jail files. Greene County Court and the town or village court that heard a matter hold the docket and final disposition. DCJS keeps the fingerprint-based statewide rap sheet, but releases personal record reviews rather than a public name search. The New York State Sex Offender Registry and New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision maintain still other records. The site was built to sort those roles and make the official access route clear.

What You Will Find Here

  • Agency contacts: the Greene County Sheriff, Greene Multi-Bench, local justice courts, DCJS, and other official custodians
  • Record routes: where court cases, arrest and booking files, personal rap sheets, custody records, and registry profiles come from
  • Request details: official search fields, fees, phone channels, FOIL steps, and clerk procedures documented for Greene County
  • Personal record remedies: how New York sealing and record correction begin with the court or DCJS

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to a New York court, the Greene County Sheriff, a police department, or DCJS. Its role has firm limits:

  • It cannot issue a certified disposition, rap sheet, police report, or jail record
  • It cannot submit a FOIL request, sealing application, or correction challenge for a visitor
  • It cannot conduct an official background check or obtain another person's DCJS record
  • It cannot give legal advice about a warrant, charge, registry duty, or sealing rule
  • It cannot guarantee that an office has not changed a fee, hour, address, or procedure

Only the Greene County Sheriff, the originating court, DCJS, or another lawful custodian can issue or confirm its official record.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power some search boxes. They control their own results, prices, privacy practices, and paid services. A resulting purchase may produce a referral fee that supports site operations. Greene County Criminal History does not control those providers or treat their output as an official Greene County or New York government record.
